Zarya is an ambient experimental musician and visual artist based between Madrid and the UK. Through the repetition and manipulation of bowed guitar and vocals, Zarya explores the characteristics of drone and harmonics, resulting in an intimate sonic landscape.

Zarya´s first album, Of This Mass, combines recordings gathered over the past 2 years between Zarya's home in Norfolk, Lisbon, and Benzene Studio in Paris, offering an intimate documentation of change and experimentation.

Using voice, bowed guitar, bass, electronics, and field recordings, the tracks combine delicate vocals and immersive soundscapes. The record draws on themes of memory and environment resulting in the exploration into the intersections between song, collage and emotional narrative.
